Out For Democracy: Making History

April 30, 2004

On May 16, 2004, LGBT Americans and their allies will be celebrating. This is the
historic night before Massachusetts grants equal marriage rights to same-sex couples. The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is sponsoring "A Night to Create Change" so that supporters of marriage equality can turn their enthusiasm into activism. The Task Force aims to join over one hundred parties together in a nationwide conference call. Task Force executive director Matt Foreman will give a "State of the Unions" address and will be joined by other special guests.

Will you join us and organize a party in your hometown May 16th?

David Salie, who many of you remember as the coordinator of Dean for America House Parties, is helping the task force coordinate this event. For more information contact David at dsalie@thetaskforce.org or visit the task force website at: http://www.thetaskforce.org/events/parties.cfm
