Out For Democracy: Jim Stork Joins Dean Dozen

Jim Stork, a candidate for the US House of Representatives (Florida, 22nd District) has been endorsed by Howard Dean. To date, Democracy for America is supporting over forty state and local candidates. Jim is the second openly gay candidate to be endorsed by DFA.

In March of 2002, Jim Stork was elected as mayor of Wilton Manors, Florida. Jim captured nearly 60 percent of the vote in an election that saw the largest voter turnout in the history of the city.

In addition to the many contributions he has made to the local community, Stork serves on the Board of Directors of PFLAG Fort Lauderdale, and has worked with GLSEN on local safe school initiatives.
