Out For Democracy: SupportEquality.org

August 10, 2004

Massachusetts made history this year becoming the first state to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples. It was a hard fought victory. The battle, however, continues. As Thomas Jefferson once said, "The cost of freedom is eternal vigilance."

A network of activists including Dean supporter Tom Gerace have launched a new site to make sure progress continues in Massachusetts. The new site, SupportEquality.org, identifies the key races we need to win in the Massachusetts State Legislature come November. Through this site, you can make a donation to all of the candidates they've identified, or which candidates you'd like to support.

You can also include a donation to support Mass Equality, the coalition of local and national organizations dedicated to defending equal marriage rights for same-sex couples in Massachusetts.

All of the money raised at SupportEquality.org goes directly to the candidates or organizations. SupportEquality.org does not receive or retain any portion of your donations.

So, if you want to see the important Marriage Equality work in Massachusetts continue, visit SupportEquality.org and make a donation today.
