An announcement was posted on the Gay Men's Health Summit List today that Eric Rofes passed away yesterday. I'm still finding it difficult to wrap my mind around the news.
Eric will be remembered for so many contributions to our communities. Too many to mention here. I will remember him as the leading force behind the Gay Mens Health Summits. I will remember him as the author of 'Drive Bones Breathe' and many other books that shaped the way a generation of gay/bi/trans men look at our sexuality, our community, and our future. I will remember him as a leader of our movement, a leather activist, and a man who was generous in sharing his time and his wisdom.
